Here at Global Gamers, our otherwise quiet Saturday afternoon was completely obliterated by some amazing Action Quake 2 gaming!

A new resource for Action Quake 2 players recently emerged in the form of Action Quake Online (many thanks to Dino!), where you can see a large selection of current AQ2 servers.

In honor of the unveiling, the awesome people from TastyCast wanted to make sure there was an AQ2 tournament worthy of the record books. The combined efforts of AQO and TastyCast resulted in six hours of AQ2 today, with fantastic video coverage by Jehar and Dino. If you missed all of the excitement, you need to head over to TastyCast and check out their live video archives right now, especially to see the final rounds where teams mJw and nom nom nom fought for first place through more tie-breakers than you can imagine.

We are ecstatic to have had the opportunity to watch this event unfold, and it's great to see the AQ2 community so active. Many thanks to Action Quake Online and TastyCast for making this event possible, and of course to all of the players who participated! We hope you all had as much fun playing as we had watching the games!

Congratulations to the winning members of mJw: unef0is, Vensu, and Hosti! Congratulations also to their opponents in the finals, the members of nom nom nom: WizardExt, Bambi_, and Warpig! You guys made it a close race right to the end!

We're looking forward to seeing even more Action Quake 2 activity in the future, and I'd definitely suggest keeping an eye on #TastyCast for any updates!
