Network maintenance - June 8-10 - Posted by ButtaKnife on June 8, 2010

Earlier today, we received a notification that the datacenter which hosts our main hub (including ChanServ and NickServ) was going to be performing some maintenance on June 9th. To prepare for the outage on the 9th, we have already moved all of the server connections to a temporary hub. Those of you who were online earlier saw the big netsplits for that. :) After the work is completed by the datacenter, we will switch everything back over to the main hub. The switch back should occur some time late in the day on the 10th, and we will send out Global notices again when that is about to happen. Thank you all for your patience during these disruptions!

Update (June 11): Since we're already using the backup hub, we're taking this opportunity to perform some of our own updates on the primary hub, and fix a few small bugs in services. Expect the primary hub to be back at work within the next few days!
